Hi everyone,

if you’re a member of ABC, I’m sure you’ve noticed that we started playing again in the last two weeks of March 2021. Singles only, with lots of space between courts and in fixed groups, but at least we got to move around a little after the long lockdown with no sports!

Even though infection numbers here in Frankfurt are rising again, this experiment in limited indoor sports is being continued: since we are heading into the Easter school holidays here in Hessen (April 2nd to April 16th), our schedule will be as follows

Unfortunately, we’re still constrained by the health & safety protocol in place, meaning that we will have to abide by the following rules:

  • singles play only,
  • register beforehand by using the sheet provided by the club (link sent by email or signal),
  • fixed partners only, no switching,
  • play in shifts of 75 minutes, hall to remain vacant for 10 minutes between shifts,
  • leave one court free between courts being played on,
  • players who aren’t playing with each other to remain further apart than 3m at all times,
  • wear masks when entering and leaving halls.

These rules lead to a scarcity of courts that we can play on per week, which means that right now, we cannot allow any potential new members to apply for test sessions, yet. Joining the club (and test sessions) will only become possible once the rules are relaxed and allow more of our existing members to play every week.

We hope you appreciate the need for strict enforcement of the health and safety regulations and wish you a safe and enjoyable Easter time!
